Inside a project:
When I work on commission, the first step is to visit me in the studio and to discuss ideas. Then the process begins. I start with sketching out a few ideas, then I create drawings and then move onto paper patterns. From there, depending upon the project, I create a life sized pattern of the work I'm creating. (In the process shown here I'm creating a "Dragon Bench") The next steps are (if applicable) to think about how I'll carve and or piece it together. The final step is to to paint and decorate!
